We’d like to express our sincere apologies that it became necessary to add so many cards to the Banned & Restricted Card List.
We feel like banning or restricting cards betrays the trust of everyone playing the game, collecting the cards, and who work with us to provide and distribute the cards. After considering the issues carefully with those involved for a while and asking ourselves “What makes DCG enjoyed by everyone” and “Who are those interested in starting to play the game with the world unification” before making this decision. Thank you for your kind understanding.

New Product Information

It’s nearly here! From April 18 (Fri.) Starter Decks “PROTECTOR OF LIGHT” and “HERO OF HOPE”, as well as Booster Pack “WORLD CONVERGENCE” are releasing!

These two starter decks are themed around the first of the anime, “DIGIMON ADVENTURE” and a prefect product for those wanting to start playing the DCG.

As for Booster Pack “WORLD CONVERGENCE”, it includes cards of protagonists from the various anime over the years, and can be summed up as “emotional”. During the planning and development of this product our thoughts were to provide something even adults who were crazy about the various Digimon series anime when they were children can be crazy about again.

This booster feels especially commemorative to us as it also brings “Appmon” into the game, which we’ve been wanting to do for a while.

As was announced the other day during “DIGIMON CON 2025”, Booster Vol.23 is planned to release in October and is titled “HACKERS SLUMBER”. More details about this and new products will be steadily released as things progress so thank you for your patience while you look forward to more details.

DIGIMON ALYSION

As was also announced during “DIGIMON CON 2025” we’re finally starting a new project to make DCG playable as an app! Of course, we’re planning it so that current DCG players can enjoy playing using the app game while making it easier to try out the game for those who haven’t before. We can finally share with you all this idea we envisioned about 2 years ago!

We’re aiming to make the new smartphone app “DIGIMON ALYSION” a new title that uses “DIGIMON LIBERATOR” for the base world feel, has a new story and allows people to more easily try playing DCG. The base game rules are the same as DCG but there will be original cards for DIGIMON ALYSION as well, which we think will make it a unique experience.

There is not much more we can say about it now, but we plan to regularly release more information about it, so please watch out for those updates!

Wrap Up

We’ve mentioned this many times already.
From April 2025 Digimon Card Game is celebrating its 5th anniversary, and it will be the first year of the global unification. In other words, a step into a new chapter for DCG. We feel that it is thanks to everyone’s support that we’ve made it to this point, so we’d like to express our deepest gratitude to you all!
However, the current DCG is now at the “Rookie” stage and is just stepping out into the battle area. We hope to keep moving forward and keep digivolving the game to “Champion”, “Ultimate”, “Mega” and beyond.

This is a ways in the future yet, but we already have ideas formed for up to the end of next year. We hope to share more with you all about that soon!

Also, there has been rumors and inquiries mainly through social media, so to clarify, at this time DCG does not have any plans to use a “block icon system”. Of course this may change based on future developments, but in that case we would be sure to inform everyone and explain in detail.

We’ll keep planning more products and events that everyone can enjoy.
